How To Send A Fax Using ViewMyFax.com
1.) Open Internet Explorer and go to //viewmyfax.com.
2.) Once the home page loads, you will be prompted to provide a user name and password to login to your account. Enter your user name and password into the appropriate fields and click the “Login” button, as shown below:
3.) Once logged in to your account, you will be able to navigate the Electronic Fax Customer Portal. This is where you will send faxes, view faxes, view fax status and organize faxes and contacts. To send a fax, find and press the button at the top of the portal page that says “Send a Fax”, as shown below:
4.) Once you press this button, you will be brought to a page that will ask you to submit a few different pieces of information needed in order to send the fax. The first piece of information needed will be the recipient’s fax number. Enter the number you are faxing to in the provided filed, then press the + button, as shown below.
5.) Pressing the + button will submit the fax number provided and will load the next page. On this page, you have the choice to provide an additional fax number for a different recipient, or you can press the “Continue” button to proceed to the next step of sending your fax. If you are faxing to the number you have already submitted alone, press the “Continue” button, as shown below:
6.) Pressing “Continue” will bring you to the next page where you will have the options to upload the files you want to fax, create a cover page for your fax and edit your files online. To create a cover page, click the button next to the option that says “Cover Page Creator”, as shown below:
7.) After pressing the button, you will be brought to the page where you will submit the information that will be reflected on your cover page. Fill out all applicable fields, then hit the “Submit” button, as shown below:
8.) Once your cover page is submitted, you will need to attach the files you wish to send to the fax recipient. To do this, press the button next to the option that says “Upload Your Own File”, as shown below:
9.) After clicking the button, you will be brought to a page where you will upload the files you wish to send. To do this, click on the “Browse” button next to the empty field on the page, as shown below:
10.) Pressing the “Browse” button will prompt an Explorer window to open. This is where you will search for and select the file you wish to send. Find the file you wish to attach to your fax and select it by either double clicking on the file or highlighting the file and pressing the “Open” button in the Explorer window, as shown below:
11.) Once you click the “Open” button, the blank field next to the “Browse” button in the View My Fax window will be populated with the name of the file you selected. Once this is done, press the “Upload File” button below the file field, as shown below:
12.) Once the file has been uploaded and attached to the fax you are sending, you will be given the option to attach additional files or send the fax. If you need to attach additional files, repeat steps 8-11. If you are ready to send the fax, find the “Send Fax” button to the right of the page and press it, as shown below:
13.) Once the “Send Fax” button has been pressed, the following message will be displayed:
14.) This means that the fax you just submitted is being sent. This usually takes a few minutes to complete. You can check the status of your fax by pressing the “Fax Status” button, as shown below:
15.) The Fax Status page will display a list of faxes you have sent and will indicate whether the fax is processing, successfully sent or failed to send. As long as the fax recipient’s fax number was submitted correctly and no errors occurred while processing, the fax should be sent without issue. Once the fax has been successfully sent, it will be flagged with a green check mark and a Successfully Sent Status, as shown below:
16.) As long as the above message is displayed after a few minutes of the fax processing, you have successfully sent a fax using ViewMyFax.com!
